Fiordo di Furore beach → Hostel Brikette by bus
Follow these steps to reach the SITA stop above Fiordo di Furore, ride back towards Positano, and finish the short walk to Hostel Brikette.
Climb back to the road
Follow the staircase from the pebble beach up to the Amalfi Coast road.
The SITA bus stop sits right where the staircase meets the roadside lay-by; wait here on the mountain side of the road.
Ride the SITA bus toward Positano
Board the SITA bus heading in the Positano direction — services are request based, so the number of intermediate stops depends on other passengers.
Expect the journey to cover roughly 10.8 kilometres (6.7 miles) along the coast before you reach Positano.
Hop off at Bar Internazionale / Chiesa Nuova
Press the stop button shortly after the bus leaves the tunnel above Positano and watch for the Bar Internazionale tabacchi.
Disembark at the Chiesa Nuova stop; this is the closest SITA stop to Hostel Brikette.
Walk the final stretch to Hostel Brikette
Continue in the same direction as the bus for just over 100 metres (330 feet).
Turn right at the staircase beside the bar and climb to the hostel’s front door.
Return tips
- Check the latest timetable through the hostel’s digital concierge so you know when the next SITA bus is due.
- Use the Positano beaches overview to plan other coastal swims that pair well with a Fiordo di Furore outing.
- If a bus is full or cancelled, be prepared to flag a licensed taxi from the lay-by as a backup.
Before you leave the beach
- Buy SITA tickets in advance — there is nowhere near the beach to purchase them, and drivers can refuse boarding without a validated ticket.
Common questions
Where should I wait for the bus?
Stand on the mountain side of the road at the top of the staircase — buses heading toward Positano stop beside the crash barrier.
What if I do not have a ticket?
Drivers expect validated SITA tickets before boarding. Buy a return ticket in Positano or ask reception about current stock before you leave the hostel.
