Hostel Brikette → Positano ferry dock (port)

Getting to the port

Begin at the hostel and head towards Spiaggia Grande (Positano’s main beach).

The port is located on the right-hand side of the beach.

Allow 20–30 minutes for the walk from the hostel to the port.

Walk from Hostel Brikette to the port (points 1–5)

Begin by exiting the hostel via the main door.

Go down the steps to the road.

Turn left and walk just over 100 metres (330 feet) until you reach point 1 on the map.

At point 1, take the right-hand turn.

As soon as you turn right at point 1, you’ll see the tabacchi on the right.

Follow the road downhill.

At the first switchback bend, you’ll have reached point 2 on the map.

At point 2, go off the road and walk straight ahead, taking the stairs.

When you reach the end of the stairs, you’ll have arrived at point 3 on the map.

Cross the road and take the path straight ahead.

Follow the stairs down until you reach the next level.

When you reach the end of the stairs, you’ll arrive at the road.

Cross over the road and turn left, walking 10 metres (30 feet) until you reach point 4 on the map.

At point 4, turn right and take the stairs that lead off the road and downhill.

Follow the stairs down until you reach the bottom. At the bottom of the stairs, turn right.

This will bring you to point 5 on the map.

Continue under the archway on the right.

After 50 metres (160 feet), you’ll reach the port.

Buying ferry tickets

At the Positano port you can catch ferries to places like Amalfi, Capri, and beyond. Each ferry operator has a booth, and the sign on the booth displays information about the next ferry they will run.

Once you have your ticket, walk to the end of the port and wait for the ferry to commence boarding.
